Digging For Great Novels at Camelot Books
Before we get into my recent trip to Camelot Books, I want to give you some background information on this bookstore. After doing some digging on the internet, I feel even more strongly about supporting local businesses like Camelot Books. Camelot Books is in a location where there has been a bookstore for more than 45 years! You’ll find the shop between Ellis and Garfield. The current owner took over the store after being a customer for more than 25 years. Since taking ownership of the bookstore, it has been cleaned up and reorganized to include more than 33,400 paperbacks in their popular fiction paperback room.
Okay, let’s move on to my most recent trip to Camelot Books. You’ll notice just how big Camelot Books is right away. According to their website, the store is more than 4,400 square feet with more than 75,000 books! It’s really unlikely you’ll be able to make it out of the store without at least one book that catches your eye. With a huge variety of genres, Camelot Books has something that will appeal to everyone. Some of the genres they carry include philosophy, poetry, literary biographies, and much more.
My favorite area of the bookstore is the popular fiction paperback room. I found a huge number of books I had been wanting to pick up. This is really great for those of you who go into the store knowing what you want to pick up. And for those of you looking forward to the treasure hunt of finding some unexpected gems, there’s plenty to dig through. I myself found several books I didn’t know I needed when first walking into the shop.
They also have great prices that won’t break the bank. With a huge variety of new, used, and rare books, you’ll be able to find some great reads that fit your budget. You’ll also be able to find new and used books that are from 50% off to even 75% off of the list price. When I went in, I bought a good grip of books for less than twenty bucks. What a steal! This is especially great as we head into the holidays. You’ll be able to grab great gifts for yourself or the book lover in your life without hurting your pocketbook.
If you have children, Camelot Books is also a great destination. The new owner remodeled the children’s book area and they now have more children’s books arrive weekly. They also have included children’s educational toys, puzzles, and puppets.
